RINGKASAN TUTORIAL :

1. Cipta format kertas lejar dan simpan dalam format .EMF (format grafik).
2. Bina Nota Baru dengan mengubahsuai penetapan asal menggunakan fail .EMF yang telah disediakan.
3. Cipta templat Windows Journal dalam format .JTP menggunakan penetapan sendiri.

A. Mereka bentuk kertas Lejar menggunakan Microsoft Publisher

NOTA : Siapkan kertas lejar mengikut kesesuaian atau kehendak guru. Dalam kes tutorial ini, saya memilih menyediakan format kertas lejar seperti dalam Rajah 1. Untuk tujuan mendapatkan kualiti terbitan maka Microsoft Publisher digunakan. Sebenarnya Microsoft Excel sudah memadai untuk membina lajur-lajur seperti ini tetapi oleh kerana matlamat tutorial ini ialah membina templat menggunakan fail grafik .EMF, maka publisher dipilih.

1. Reka bentuk kertas lejar seperti di dalam Rajah 1 atau reka bentuk format sendiri yang sebenar-benarnya diperlukan. Untuk kegunaan pengajaran, pastikan lajur tarikh, butiran, folio dan Amaun disediakan dengan saiz yang mencukupi.

2. Simpan fail – Pilih menu Fail, pilih Save As dan taip nama fail mengikut kehendak sendiri. Untuk tujuan tutorial ini, nama fail ialah Kertas Lejar2-blank.pub. Tujuannya ialah menyimpan dalam format .PUB (fail MS Publisher) sebagai salinan asal.

3. Menyimpan fail sekali lagi, tetapi kali ini dalam format .EMF

a. Pilih menu Fail, pilih Save As
b. Pilih format .EMF dalam pilihan Save as type (Rajah 2).
c. Jika ingin resolusi tinggi, klik butang Change dan tukar resolusi ke pilihan ketiga, Commercial Printing (300 dpi) seperti dalam Rajah 3.

d. Klik Save. Ingat di mana anda simpan fail tersebut. Kebiasaannya ia tersimpan dalam folder My Documents atas nama Kertas Lejar2-blank.emf.

3. Keluar dari Microsoft Publisher.

B. Menyediakan semua penetapan templat Windows Journal

4. Lancarkan Windows Journal seperti biasa. Selalunya Note Default akan terpapar. Pilih Options.

a. Pilih menu Tools, pilih Options…. (Rajah 4).

b. dari tetingkap Options, menu tab Note Format akan terpapar.Pilih Stationery dan klik butang Default Page Setup. (Rajah 5)

5. Menyediakan penetapan templat baru.
Tetingkap Default Page Setup mempunyai tiga menu tab iaitu Paper, Style dan Background and Titel Area.

Ikuti penetapan di bawah:-
a. Paper : saiz A4
b. Style : untuk Line Style pilih Blank

c. Background and Title Area :

i. Picture – klik Browse dan cari fail .EMF yang telah disimpan dalam langkah 2 (Rajah 2) sebelum ini. Dalam hal gerak kerja saya, fail ini tersimpan dalam folder My Documents (Rajah 7).

ii. Pilih fail tersebut, Kertas Lejar2-blank.emf dan klik butang Open.

iii. Position : Pilih Stretch supaya gambar EMF yang dipilih tadi sentiasa sesuai dengan saiz kertas A4. Perhatikan bahagian Preview untuk melihat kesan pilihan tadi (Rajah

5. keluar dari tetingkap Default Page Setup dan tetingkap Options.
a. Klik Apply, kemudian OK untuk tutup tetingkap.
b. klik OK lagi untuk tutup tetingkap Options pula.

6. Perubahan belum berlaku. Tutup Windows Journal.

C. Mencipta templat Windows Journal

7. Lancarkan Windows Journal semula. Sekarang barulah paparan yang telah diubahsuai itu dipamerkan (Rajah 9) seperti di bawah.

8. Untuk membolehkan perubahan ini tersimpan sebagai templat Windows Journal, maka langkah berikut perlu diikuti:-

a. Pilih menu Fail, pilih Save As (Rajah 10).
b. Pilih format Windows Journal Template, .JTP dalam pilihan Save as type (Rajah 2).
c. Taip nama fail yang sesuai seperti Account – Ledjar (blank).
d. Klik Save. Tetingkap Save As Template akan terpacul keluar.
e. Pilih save stationery and backgrounds only. Klik OK (Rajah 11).
f. Ingat di mana anda simpan fail tersebut. Kebiasaannya ia tersimpan dalam folder My Notes bersama dengan fail templat asalan yang lain.

Tahniah! Kini anda sudah berjaya mencipta templat kertas lejar sendiri. Langkah yang sama boleh diikuti untuk menyediakan kertas akaun yang lain seperti jurnal am, buku tunai dan sebagainya.

MAKLUMAT TAMBAHAN:

Anda juga boleh menggunakan Excel untuk mencipta templat kertas Jurnal, Lejar dan Buku Tunai untuk dijadikan templat Windows Journal.

Anda boleh terus mencipta fail Windows Journal dengan cara melakukan arahan CETAK ke JOURNAL NOTE WRITER. Journal Note Writer adalah mesin cetak virtual. Ia akan menghasilkan fail format .JNT.

Walau bagaimanapun, fail yang tercipta dari arahan cetak ini tidak begitu sempurna. Ia hanya sesuai sebagai paparan SATU MUKA SURAT sahaja.

Sebab itulah saya memilih untuk menggunakan perisian terbitan meja (desktop publishing) seperti Microsoft Publisher ketika mencipta templat tersebut. Perisian Scribus juga boleh digunakan, dan ia adalah percuma.

PERKONGSIAN PENGALAMAN MENGAJAR MENGGUNAKAN LAPTOP TABLET DALAM KELAS PRINSIP PERAKAUNAN

Dulu sebelum memiliki laptop tablet, maka semua penerangan dan jawapan yang saya sediakan adalah dalam fail Excel. Dengan menggunakan LCD, saya akan mengajar sambil menunjukkan contoh catatan atau membincangkan jawapan dalam lembaran kerja Excel. Dalam MS Excel walaupun paparan yang saya sediakan menyerupai kertas lejar, tetapi ketika memasukkan item di dalam akaun-akaun lejar (dan catatan dalam jurnal dan buku tunai), sebenarnya saya menaip, bukannya menulis. Dan pelajar mengetahui perkara itu dan sebahagian dari mereka mengalami masalah kefahaman akibat dari itu. Sebab itu saya juga terpaksa menggunakan dua kaedah pengajaran, lama dan ICT; whiteboard dan white screen.

Walau bagaimanapun, sejak dua bulan menggunakan features laptop tablet seperti teknologi ink maka pengajaran saya kelihatan lebih natural dan pelajar dapat melihat bagaimana semua catatan lejar disediakan oleh guru seperti seolah-olah guru menulis di atas kertas. Justeru itu kini saya cipta templat yang lebih sesuai dengan Windows Journal supaya pengajaran menggunakan teknologi ICT itu nampak lebih berkesan. Itulah harapan saya. Saya berharap perkongsian ini membantu guru-guru perakaunan mengetahui bagaiamana mencipta template kertas akaun untuk Window Journal dalam laptop tablet anda.

One of the best features available on tablet-based OS like Windows XP Tablet PC edition and Windows Vista, is the INK. Yes I love wasting an ink.  With digital ink, you can write naturally (almost) on the screen and save it in Windows Journal, or Sticky Notes or GoBinder lite edition.

There is another one, writing on our DESKTOP.It is called an Ink Desktop. It’s like having a portable dry-erase board on your screen all of the time. Whenever you want, you can jot down a phone number, directions, or top priorities for the day.To enable this features in Vista, download Microsoft Ink Desktop for Windows Vista from here. For Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 user, you can add similar features and more by downloading Experience Pack from Microsoft or directlink here (english version).

Experience Pack includes six programs for productivity and media management. Snipping Tool is really useful tools. Not to mentioned Ink Desktop for WinXP, which lets you write notes directly on your desktop.

There is another good package for teachers and students. It’s the Microsoft Education Pack has five programs designed for both. If you are a math teacher, for example, working hard using microsoft equation editor in MSWord, then by all means find a replacement. By simply writing the formula in the Equation Writer, your handwritten formula will then be converted to math equations for you to copy-paste to Word.

Microsoft offers a handful of applets, called Power Toys, for tablets including a dictionary tool, a Web search tool, a calculator, and a font creation tool.

If you don’t own a tablet pc but need to read a file created in .jnt format then you can download this viewer from the Microsoft sites. Or you can simply google it “windows journal viewer”.

This accessory enables users who do not have a computer running Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition to view files that were created in Microsoft® Windows® Journal on a Tablet PC.

Usually (but sometimes) I will use Powerpoint during economics classes to show curves and related materials. Now I’m experimenting with Windows Journal that came with tablet pc. My hand a bit shaky drawing a curves while explaining to the Form Sixth students. You know why, I have to stand and draw at the tablets. And I use tablet pc mode. Quite uncomfortable. Since last 2 weeks, I’ve struggle with it. But last week, I’ve decided, if I want to draw any diagram, I better sit and instead of using tablet mode, I just settle with using my PEN while my left-hand hold the monitor. Not a good way of doing things, but the least I can do.

My real frustration though, is how can I use this notebook in tablet mode while the LCD projected clone mode not rotated with my tabletpc. You know what I mean? Everytime we use tablet mode, our display will rotate to 90. I push once so that it rotate 180 degrees. The problem is, the screen is now upside down. Anyone knows how to force the lcd projector to display normal (meaning-no rotation screen) while I use the tablet mode. The lcd projector at school is EPSON EMP-750.

Any suggestion will do, I appreciated it.

It’s been quite sometimes that I use BartPE. I did create a Windows XP CD using bartPE (version 3.11a) before, but it’s no longer updated. It’s useful when things were out of hand like virus(es) attack or partitioning, etc. Now I’m trying out UBCD for Windows which use the same bartpebuilder but with added free or opensource softwares. I have problem downloading last few days. The file downloaded were corrupted for unknown reason. I have to redownload yesterday at home and this time it’s okay. MD5 Checker confirms it.

However, I do face a problem installing this tools. The main file, ubcdwinbuilder.exe were missing. Checking the forum, found the solution, I disable temporarily antivirus applications. I use AVG8 free edition.

What I did was, exit AVG, then go to administrative tools, services and disable 2 avg services. Only then the installation of ubcdwin ran smoothly. I believe it is a great tools.

Need to figure out how to install windows XP on this laptop with tablet pc capabilities. Luckily Google is on my side. After an hours for searching with various keywords I found this forum, a lot of friendly and helpful guys there (make the long story short):

A sudden error anticipated. Vista error status : 0Xc000000f. At first I have no idea what it was, so out of frustation, I google for Oxc000000f. Found a few suggested solution:

1. Use Vista CD and follow repair procedures. Unfortunately, I don’t have the CD. My NB came with recovery partition.

2. Find winload.exe files from windows\system32\boot folder and copy to system32 folder to overwrites the corrupted files. Here is the appropriate steps:

a. run command prompt

b. type the followings :

3. Download Vista_Recovery_Disc_x86.iso
